Glide up and down the safe and easy way
 
Straight-track stairlifts have a rail that is fitted to the stair treads (not to the wall) and they are powered from a normal domestic power socket. They can be installed in a couple of hours with minimum disruption.

Our prices start from £1,600 for a new straight-track stairlift (installed, exclusive of VAT*) and from £800 for a reconditioned straight stairlift (installed, exclusive of VAT*). These are guide prices and are subject to survey and, in the case of secondhand lifts, availability.

(*In many cases, the purchase of these products is exempt from VAT.)

Stannah

 

One of the best-known names in stairlifts, the Stannah 300 is a reliable lift with excellent features:

  • Arm-to-footrest link that raises the footrest and the seat with the armrest, to keep the lift safely folded out of the way
  • Cushioned start/stop
  • Choice of manual or powered swivel seat
  • Choice of controls, either push-button or a joystick
  • Wireless wall controls to call or send the stairlift, or hard-wired controls
  • External stairlift available
MediTek

 

MediTek’s great range of Sika stairlifts includes the LE which is specifically aimed at the lower budget. There are lifts for the heavier person (up to 160kgs/25 stones) and a Stand & Perch option for those who find it a problem to bend at the hips or knees. Features include:

  • Compact style makes it perfect for narrower stairs
  • Toggle controls
  • Infra-red hand-held controller
  • Bridging platforms to bring the stairlift to the edge of the landing
  • External stairlift available
  • Wider seat option (up to 55mm)
Lift Able

 

Lift Able produces the highly popular Cumbria straight stairlift. Compact and comfortable, the Cumbria suits a wide range of domestic situations and offers:

  • Wider seat option
  • Choice of push button or lever controls
  • Manual or powered swivel seat
  • Child seats that can be adjusted to grow with the child
  • Linked seat and footrest for folding away
  • Narrow profile – folds away to 11” (280mm) wide
Bison Compact

 

The Bison Compact is a versatile lift and one of the slimmest on the market at just over 11” folded. It is ideal for narrower or steeper stairs, and has the following features:

  • Joystick control
  • Footrest extremely close to floor
  • Manual or powered swivel seat
  • Optional powered seat and footrest raisers
  • Auto parking facility folds seat, footrest and hinged rail at push of a button

 


All lifts have the following features or options:

  • Battery power with continuous charging, to remain working even in a power cut (mains power optional with some lifts)
  • Swivel seat
  • Adjustable seat height
  • Safety sensors to stop the lift if it feels an obstruction
  • Powered or manual hinged rail to keep doorways clear
