A comfortable ride round the bend!

If your stairs turn or bend, you will need a curved stairlift that will have to be custom made to your individual requirements. That is the why these types of stairlifts cost so much more than the straight-track ones. Guide prices are: from £4,000 for new stairlifts (installed, exclusive of VAT*) and from £3,500 for reconditioned lifts (installed, exclusive of VAT*). The tracks on curved lifts are never reconditioned or re-used - just the chair and the carriage.

If your stairs simply have a ‘fan’ at the top, it may be possible to fit a bridging platform in conjunction with a straight-track stairlift . This can be determined with an on-site survey.

If a curved track is the only option, we offer the Stannah 260. This is a really well-designed lift that slows automatically on tight bends to give a totally safe and comfortable ride. Installation can be completed in 5-6 hours.

 Features include:

  • Battery power
  • Automatic charging
  • Automatic slowing facility
  • Cushioned start/stop
  • Push-button or joystick controls on either arm
  • 9 safety sensors to stop the lift if it feels an obstruction
  • Wireless controls to call or send the stairlift
  • Two styles of chair
  • Swivel seat with light-touch levers on either side
  • Manual or powered hinged rail to keep doorways clear
  • 9 colourways
