About us
We are specialists in the installation and maintenance of stairlifts, vertical through-floor lifts, steplifts and ceiling track hoists throughout the south east of England. Our customers are local authorities and occupational therapists as well as private individuals.
We are an approachable company - our employees are with us because they are understanding of the difficulties faced by people with mobility problems.
Ascendit is a family-run business, which was started in 1998 and has now grown to more than 20 employees. Despite this growth (around 800 lifts alone are installed each year), the company has held fast to its original key priorities:
- High standards of customer care - among many other things this involves limiting the sales area covered, so that the emergency breakdown service can operate promptly; keeping up with health and safety legislation; following careful risk assessments for every installation; and a 24-hr on-call breakdown service.
- No-pressure sales - sales staff are not paid on commission, so that they are not tempted to pressure customers into sales, and they can take the time to advise and inform.
- Choice - products from a variety of leading manufacturers are offered, as well as the options of reconditioned lifts and rentals, in order to achieve the best match with the customer's needs and the best price.
